Georgia

Hello, I'm Georgia. I'm a care professional with several years of healthcare experience. I currently work part-time at a local nursing home, supporting individuals with a variety of complex care needs.

I am passionate about delivering person-centred and holistic care, and love being able to make a positive difference to people's lives. Previously I have worked as a Health and Wellbeing coach and a Mental Health support worker, and I'm happy to help support you regardless of what your needs are. I like to think of myself as an empathetic and positive person and thrive from making new connections with people and helping them in any way I can.

My academic background is in Biomedical Sciences and Neuropsychology - the human mind and body fascinates me! I am very interested in the connection between these and love to learn about how different challenges impact each individual. No two people are the same, regardless of labels and diagnoses, and I look forward to learning more about you so I am able to provide the best care possible to meet your needs.

I am trained to provide personal care, assist with meals, administer medication, support people with learning disabilities, dementia, autism, visual impairment, and am happy to undergo any additional training required to suit your needs. I have completed the Care Standard training as part of my current part-time role. I am more than happy to help with any cleaning or domestic tasks, dog walking, or to simply sit and have a natter over a cuppa - I love getting to know people and learning about their lives. I have my own car, which would be available any time if you should need it, whether that be for appointments, shopping trips or other outings.

My availability is flexible, but Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are generally best for me. I am open to working on weekends on an ad-hoc basis, as I am often away visiting family and friends, or going for hikes in the countryside.

My basic rate is £18 per hour, but I am happy to discuss this on an individual basis depending on your needs and regularity of visits.
