BS3 Community Care is delighted to offer a free introductory training session in care and community support, made possible through funding from National Grid and Local Giving, and delivered in partnership with the City of Bristol College.
Are you interested in supporting people in your local community while earning an income? This friendly half-day session will help you explore opportunities and build the confidence to get started.
Who Is This For?
This is for anyone who enjoys helping others and would like to explore opportunities to provide support services in their local community. Whether you're considering a career change, returning to work, or looking for flexible paid work, this training can help you get started. Examples include:
- Care and Support work
- Companionship
- Personal Assistant (PA) roles
- Cleaning, gardening or home help
- Shopping, errands or transport
- Basic home maintenance and practical support
What You’ll Learn
- Introduction to adult social care
- Person-centred approaches
- Communication skills
- Safeguarding basics
- Working self-employed in care, support or community based roles
