Wayne

Hello I'm Wayne and I have worked as a support worker in Bristol for over 20 years. I enjoy meeting new people and developing good working relationships.

I am friendly, flexible and looking forward to supporting you with any domestic or support needs. My skills are best suited to supporting people with managing their paperwork & budgeting, developing routines, making phone calls, dealing with emails or using the computer.

I am able to carry out domestic chores including cooking & cleaning. I am a car driver and can assist you to access the community for trips, shopping or appointments. I am happy to offer companionship and befriending. (I do not assist with personal care at this time).

I have extensive experience of supporting vulnerable people across Bristol including those with learning difficulties, autism, mental health issues and older people with physical health issues.

I have worked for Bristol City Council for over 20 years in Social Care and Housing Related Support. I am aware of the difficulties and challenges that life can bring so I hope to bring empathy to my work knowing that we all need help and support at certain times in our lives.

I have extensive knowledge of the benefit system including Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Personal Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance and Housing Benefit. I am able to offer budgeting and debt advice and can support you to access specialist agencies for further assistance if needed.

Let me know if you think you need this kind of support. I am also able to provide Housing advice if you think you may need to move home or need to make your home more accessible to you.

I enjoy living in Bristol exploring the green spaces and parks while walking my dog. I like to play board games, go to the theatre and socialise with friends.

My availability is weekdays 9-5. I am able to be flexible around this on occasions. My rate of pay is £16 per hour.
